Palestine Main Street

The Palestine Main Street is a nationally recognized program of the City of Palestine.

Vision Statement:
Palestine Main Street shares a collective vision for our community to experience and benefit from a culturally rich and economically vibrant downtown..

Mission Statement:

Main Street Palestine works to make Palestine’s downtown a vibrant and prosperous center of the community using the Main Street four-point approach of:

  • Providing opportunities and education for historically correct rehabilitation of our downtown buildings and structures (Design)
  • Working with stakeholders to develop partnerships and promote community involvement to build on successful revitalization, community activities and economic development efforts downtown (Organization)
  • Creating imaginative, fun and educational promotions to attract residents and visitors to downtown (Promotion)
  • Supporting new and existing businesses with funding and economic incentives that encourage development of downtown and enhance the local economy (Economic Restructuring)

Mardi Gras on Main
Wine Swirl: Takes place the second Saturday in December each year.

Farmers Market

Located at 834 W Spring St, the Palestine Farmers Market features a variety of fresh produce and is open year-round, as produce vendors have inventory.
The first Saturday of the month the Farmers Market hosts Market Days, where the market is packed with homemade goods, from crochet, soaps and lotions, baked goods, and jams and jellies, to hand-painted gourds, cookbooks from local artists, and so much more!

Art Tracks

The 6th Annual Art Tracks is a juried exhibit featuring outdoor sculptures in prominent Main Street locations in Palestine, Texas.

The annual project is an initiative of the Palestine Main Street Department and Palestine Tomorrow, a subfund of the Texas Area Fund Foundation, whose ongoing goal is to provide and encourage parks and arts in Palestine for a better quality of life.
