Palestine Farmers Market

Local, handmade, and homemade!

Located in the heart of Palestine, TX's historic Main Street district at 813 W. Spring St., the Palestine Farmers Market has grown into a weekly gathering place since Market Managers Roger and April Shaner reestablished it in 2021. What began as a response to fragile supply chains has become a community hub where farmers, ranchers, homesteaders, food producers, and artisans connect with their neighbors.

Shoppers will find fresh, locally grown produce, pasture-raised meats, eggs, and honey, homemade baked goods, and artisan crafts, along with young entrepreneurs building their own small businesses. The market operates every Saturday from late March through early December, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with extended Wednesday hours added during the summer season.

In 2025, the market's pavilion underwent a significant renovation funded by a $75,000 Palestine Economic Development Corporation grant, addressing longstanding issues with lighting, weather protection, and electrical access. The improved space now supports the market year-round and hosts additional community events, including the Dogwood Arts Festival.

Visitors can pair a stop at the Palestine Farmers Market with a visit to the nearby Palestine Visitor Center, making it an easy addition to a downtown day trip.
