Whiskey & Wine Swirl 2022 - Winery Registration

Thank you for registering as a Wine Vendor for Palestine Main Street's Whiskey & Wine Swirl (TM)! This will be the 8th year Palestine Main Street has hosted this successful sip and shop event in historic downtown Palestine. If you are a returning vendor, welcome back! The overall format of the event will be familiar, but we are opening ticket sales to even more attendees. Event guests stroll through our host locations while sampling your selections. As the strolling event winds down, the VIP Reception at Tahwahkaro Distilling Co. will get started. In addition to more guest tickets offered, exciting changes for this year include the VIP Reception access to ALL ticket holders, and all our wine vendors have a new option to sell by the glass or bottle at the VIP Reception as well!

The following are the procedures and responsibilities of the wineries and the City of Palestine.

All participating wineries must:
  • Submit W9 Form and vendor registration by October 31, 2022
  • Obtain TABC Winery Festival Permit Certificate (GF) and keep a copy of application for Winery Festival Permit Certificate
  • Check-in 2 hours before the event
  • Complete set-up at least 30 minutes prior to event
  • Display winery signage for prices by glass or bottle, décor and winery brochures for table
  • Bring a cooler with ice for keeping wine cool during event
  • Bring a water pitcher, dump bucket and wine tools
  • Provide 2 winery representatives to expedite sales and pouring
  • Provide wine tastings for 650 participants (1oz pour per guest)
  • Bring inventory that allows for the sale of wine by the glass or bottle for the strolling event
  • OPTIONAL: Bring additional inventory that allows for the sale of wine by the glass or bottle at the VIP Reception - no tastings required at VIP Reception
The City of Palestine will:
  • Provide you with property owner permission letter and festival map ASAP
  • Provide $200.00 travel stipend to winery to be presented the day of the event at winery check-in (advanced submission of W9 required)
  • Check ID's for 21 years of age and older and provide wristbands to guests
  • Provide complimentary 6 compartment wine bag to each guest for purchases they make onsite
  • Provide complimentary wine glass and whiskey glass to each guest
  • Provide complimentary appetizers for the guests
  • Provide complimentary bottled water for the guests
  • Provide signage, table, tablecloth, and chair at assigned locations for each winery
  • Provide additional signage, table, tablecloth at VIP Reception for those participating in the OPTIONAL sales opportunity

Event will be held on December 10, 2022
