Visit Palestine is planning a community service project to restore Anderson County historic markers during the 3rd annual National Historic Marker Day on Friday, April 28th.
National Historic Marker Day brings people together to maintain local markers by cleaning them while providing an opportunity to celebrate and preserve history. Individuals, as well as groups of 2-3, are welcome to volunteer, including families and friends, civic organizations, schools and young groups, to name a few. Each volunteer/ group will get to choose a marker important to them to “adopt” from our list.
