You don't want to miss being part of this awesome, inaugural event!
5K & 10K: Begin your chip-timed road race in Old Town Palestine, in the park behind the famous Oxbow Bakery. The route takes you by many other points of interest including historic homes, the Anderson County Courthouse, the Texas Theater, Eilenberger's Bakery, downtown, and more! Enjoy some of the best of Palestine in this 3.1 loop! We welcome you no matter your pace... There is a generous time limit, allowing family and friends to walk the course together! Children who participate in the 5K/10K must stay with a parent or guardian. Strollers are welcome!
Kids K: Children 11 and under will have an opportunity to run a race as well! The course will be a total of 0.62 mi (0.31 mi out and back), starting at the Oxbow Bakery. One parent or teen per child is welcome to join them free of charge on the course during the race. Each child will receive a Kids K finisher medal, different from the 5K/10K medal, plus there will be an award for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!
Pet K: Bring your furry friends for a walk in Old Town Palestine. Treats will await them at the finish line! (Psst... Only register humans! No more than two pets per human, please!)
Your attendance helps us bring business to Old Town and Downtown Palestine during our second canceled Dogwood Trails Celebration. Thank you for supporting small businesses in Palestine! We will also be contributing a portion of our proceeds to plant dogwood seedlings at Davey Dogwood Park!
COVID-19: We are required by officials to have you wear masks at the race hub (start/finish area). You may take it off when you start your race. When you finish your race, we ask that you put your mask back on until you leave the race hub area. Hand sanitizer will be available at the race hub and aid stations.
