Date: Nov 10, 2019
On the right, Major General J. L. Collins, commander of the 25th Division and, on the left, Major Charles W. Davis, commanding the 3rd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment confer on New Georgia, August 14, 1943.
The Medal of Honor is the highest military decoration presented by the United States government to a member of its armed forces. The recipient must have distinguished themselves at the risk of their own life above and beyond the call of duty in action against an "enemy of the United States" or an "opposing foreign force". For actions during World War II, 472 United States military personnel received the Medal of Honor.

In honor of Veterans Day, arrangements have been made to exhibit Kirk Davis' father's WWII Congressional Medal of Honor and his historic collection of autographs of 20th C. presidents, celebrities and military notables in the lobby of the historic Redlands Hotel.
