This Family Day will be based on the popular art exhibit, Texas Heroes, by well-known local artist, Janet Staples. The Family Day will feature activities that help children see what makes a hero and how they can be a hero, too. It also will explore the differences in the Texas Heroes’ transportation in the 19th century and today’s transportation. The Texas Heroes exhibit will be on view through March 31, 2018. It presents captivating images of 12 famous men and women who were a part of early Texas’ history. It is on loan from the Texas Oil and Gas Association in Austin, TX.
Curious will continue to feature its popular hands-on science exhibits and the artworks that complement them.
Curious is open the public on Saturdays from 10 am – 3 pm. Admission is $5/person ages 3 and older. Members and children under the age of two are free.
