LukeStrong Foundation was established from the heart of Luke Grumbles, a 10 year old boy from Palestine, Texas. He was diagnosed with Leukemia on September 11, 2017, and received 4 intense rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. Luke was hospitalized for over 150 days, but during his stay, he realized he wanted to make a difference in the lives of other kids fighting cancer. Luke’s dreams were to make care packages for families, have a therapy dog, and help families financially during their crisis. However, Luke relapsed and passed away on May 24th, 2018. We made a promise to him to fulfill his desires for the foundation he created.
Every single day more than 40 children are diagnosed with cancer and families’ lives are turned upside down.
The goals of the LukeStrong Foundation are to financially support families of children and young adults fighting all types of cancer. (Bills, medical bills, traveling expenses, food, utilities, rent or car payments.)
Please join us by supporting the 1st Annual First Responders 5K Run/Walk. All proceeds will go to the LukeStrong Foundation to help his dreams come true.
